Egy pár érdekes információ az óriás Buddháról:

71 méter magas és 803-ben készült el.
A legnagyobb kő Buddha és a legnagyobb ókori kő szobor a világon.
Van vízelvezető rendszere hogy ne repedezzen meg a kő.
Azért építették hogy megvédje a hajókat a folyó örvényeitől. Ez sikerült is, de valószínűleg azért mert annyi kőtörmeléket öntöttek a folyóba és megváltozott az áramlása.
A tömeg és a sor legalább olyan nagy volt mint maga a Buddha.

A few interesting facts about the Giant Buddha:

It’s 71 meters high and was finished in 803.
It’s the largest stone Buddha statue and largest pre-modern statue in the world.
It has it’s own drainage system to prevent the rock from cracking.
They built it so that it would protect the local ships from the turbulent waters of the river. They actually succeeded in doing that, but probably because of all the stone debris thrown into the river during the construction.
The crowd and lines were at least as large as the Buddha.
