First short day in Shanghai: fried dumplings and a night stroll.

Mivel a gépünk hajnalban landolt és csak napfelkeltére kerültünk az új szállásunkra, úgy döntöttünk, hogy megérdemlünk egy pihis napot. Egy kiadós alvás után éhesen ébredtünk, késő délután :) Kerestünk egy jó dumplingos helyet TripAdvisor-on (Yang’s Dumplings), és metróra szálltunk. Most egy újabb fajta gombócot próbáltunk ki, ugyanis ezeket serpenyőben sütötték, nem párolták. A hely annyira bejött, hogy a következő két vacsoránk is ez lett - főleg miután rájöttünk, hogy a szállodánk közvetlen közelében is van pont egy ilyen étterem.
Our flight landed at 2AM and we only got to our hotel for sunrise, so we decided to take the day a bit light. After a long sleep we woke up hungry in the afternoon and found a good dumpling spot on TripAdvisor (Yang’s Dumplings). This time we tried a different type of dumpling: pan fried instead of the usual steamed. We liked the place so much that the following two night’s dinners were Yang’s Dumplings again, especially after realizing that there’s another location near our hotel.
Tele hassal indultunk tovább a város híres vásárló utcáján, Nanjing utca, ahol minden második sarkon volt egy McDonald’s, KFC vagy Pizza Hut - csupa eredeti kínai kulináris élmény. Az utca tömve volt emberekkel, sőt, még kisvasút is ment középen a lustáknak.
With our bellies full we headed to Shanghai’s famous Nanjing shopping street where on every second block there was a McDonald’s, KFC, or Pizza Hut - all in the name of authentic Chinese cuisine. The street was packed with people as usual, and there was even a train on wheels to transport the lazy people along the street.
Séta közben végig jöttek emberek eladni nekünk valamit - Louis Vuitton táskát, Rolex órákat, természetesen mind eredeti minőségben. Egy óvatlan pillanatban, amikor Petra elment pisilni és Ákos egyedül maradt meglepő árut kínáltak fel neki három kártyán. Az elsőn sima masszázs volt, a másodikon masszázs szexi lánnyal, a harmadikon “boldog véget érő” masszázs. Ákos mindegyiket kellően visszautasította, és mondta, hogy felesége van, de az eladót ez sem zavarta és a következőt mondta: “Wife not here no problem” vagyis ha nincs itt a feleség, akkor semmi baj nincs!
During our stroll people kept trying to hustle us goods such as Louis Vuitton bags or Rolex watches - obviously all originals. When Petra went to the bathroom they also tried to sell Akos some exotic services on 3 business cards: simple massage, sexy massage, happy ending massage. Akos rejected each offer and also pointed to his wedding ring saying he’s married (first time doing that), but the rebuttal from the lady came swiftly: “Wife not here, no problem”!
