Ho Chi Minh mauzóleum és Elnöki Palota | Ho Chi Minh mausoleum and Presidential Palace
Korán keltünk, hogy megnézhessük Ho Chi Minh mauzóleumát. Mint Mao-é, ez is csak rövid ideig van nyitva és nem minden nap.
Egy gyors biztonsági ellenőrzés és kis sorbanállás után mi is megnéztük a nagy embert, amint végső álmát alussza. Benn se fotózni se megállni nem volt szabad, így csak az épületről van képünk.
Mivel az elnöki palota közvetlen mellette van, oda is bementünk, a kertben lehetett sétálni és megnézni, hogy milyen szerény körülmények között élt Ho Chi Minh. Mivel esett az eső ezután inkább hazamentünk.
We got up early to go inside the Mausoleum where Ho Chi Minh is embalmed. Just like Mao Zedung’s, this one also has short morning hours and it’s not open every day.
After a quick security check and a short queue, we saw Ho Chi Minh lying there quietly in his final sleep. Photography and stopping for even a second was not allowed, so you have to go there in person to experience it.
Because the Mausoleum is conveniently placed next to the Presidential Palace, we decided to take a look at that as well. Its attractions are mostly outside in the garden and you can peak in the windows to see how humble Ho Chi Minh lived there in his final years. We decided to go back to our hotel after the Presidential Palace since it was raining.

Késő délutánra kitisztult az ég és a gyomrunk is elkezdett korogni, úgyhogy meglátogattuk az egyik Phó helyet, amit előző nap ajánlott az idegenvezető (Pho 10). Aki még nem evett ilyet, a Pho a helyi leves, amiben sok zöldség és tészta van, illetve a választott husi. Nekünk a marhahúsosat ajánlották ebben az étteremben, és nem bántuk meg, hogy hallgattunk rájuk :)
When the skies cleared out sometime in the late afternoon our stomaches also started growling. It was a perfect opportunity to check out the Pho place which was recommended by our street food tour guide the day before (Pho 10). For those who never had Pho before, it’s a Vietnamese vegetable and noodle soup with your choice of meat. We were recommended the beef and left the restaurant with no regrets :)
Vízi Bábműsor | Water Puppet Show
Estére volt jegyünk egy vizes-báb előadásra. Itt a bábok és a bábozók is vízben állnak, habár az utóbbiak a függöny mögött. Több rövid helyi történetet játszottak el nekünk élő zenei aláfestéssel. Láttunk rizsföld művelést, halászatot és táncoló sárkányokat is.
We had tickets for the evening Water Puppet Theater, which is a famous local entertainment. The puppeteers are standing in water when they perform with the puppets gliding on top of the water. The show contained a selection of local short stories, such as rice cultivation, fishing and dancing dragons. Next to the stage there were musicians playing background music.
