Our long day in Hué.
Huébe érkezés | Arriving in Hué
A vonat reggel ért Hué-be, így az egész napunk szabad volt turistáskodni. Szerencsére az új szállásunkon már kész volt a szobánk, így le tudtunk pakolni, és kicsit felfrissülni az éjszakai vonat után.
The train arrived in Hué early in the morning so our whole day was free to sightsee. Thankfully our hotel already had our room ready so after checking in and freshening up a bit after the overnight train we headed out.
Hué-i citadella | Hué Citadel
Első állomásunk a helyi citadella/vár/palota volt. Ez építészetileg hasonlít a pekingi tiltott városra, mivel a külső falon belül van egy belső fal is, ami elkeríti a császár lakhelyét, de ez a vár csak az 1800-as években épült. Annak ellenére, hogy viszonylag “új”, a háború miatt nagyon rossz állapotban van, nagyon nagy részét bombázták földig. A palota maradványait végigjárva megnéztük a belső, tiltott részt is, ahova csak a császár mehett be egyedüli férfiként, mindenki más aki a falakon belül élt nő volt vagy eunuk.
Az eddigi út során itt hallottunk először magyar szavakat, egy idősebb pár és a helyi idegenvezetőjük, aki meglepő módon szintén beszélt magyarul.
Our first stop was the Hué citadel/castle/palace. It was built in 1800 in a similar fashion to the Forbidden Palace in Beijing even incorporating Chinese style. There’s an outer wall and an inner wall which separates the emperors living quarters. Even though it’s a relatively new citadel most of it was bombed to the ground during the war. Walking through the remains of the citadel we also got to see the “forbidden” part of the palace, where the only male allowed to enter was the emperor, everyone else was either a woman or an eunuch.
This was also the first place we heard Hungarians. An elderly couple was also visiting the citadel and even had a Hungarian-speaking Vietnamese tour guide.
Sírhelyek | Tombs
Hué híres arról, hogy sok uralkodó itt temettette el magát, így több sírhely is van a környéken. Ezekben nem csak a császárok, hanem a családtagjaik is nyugszanak. Mi a három leginkább ajánlottat néztük meg.
Hué is also famous for many rulers burying in the area so there are multiple tombs surrounding the city. They also are the burial sites for their family members and close relatives. We visited 3 of the most popular ones.
Tu Duc
Az első egy úgy nevezett Tu Duc-é volt, ez egy sírhoz képest egész nagy területen fekszik, ugyanis halála előtt nyári pihenőhelynek használta a telket. Kis tó és pagoda is épült ide.
The first one was Tu Duc’s tomb. It is on a very large piece of land with a lake and a small pagoda as it was also used as a summer house before his death.
Dong Khang
A második egy Dong Khanh nevű uralkodó nyughelye. Ez egy dombon fekszik és már-már a versailles-i kastélyhoz hasonlító díszítése van.
The second tomb was Dong Khanh’s which lies on top of a hill with the site having a lot of decorations.
Minh Mang
Az utolsó, amit megnéztük Minh Mang sírja volt. Ez szintén nagy területen fekszik, de sok kisebb sír még nincs restaurálva, így nem látogatható.
Finally we visited Minh Mang’s tomb which is also on a large area, but unfortunately isn’t renovated so we couldn’t fully visit the site.
Koktélok | Cocktails
Este vacsora után beültünk egy bárba koktélozni, kipihenni a nagy meleget. Még biliárdoztunk is, 2:1 lett az eredmény Ákos javára.
After dinner we went to a cocktail bar to rest after a day in full heat. We even played some pool with the result ending up being 2-1 for Akos.
